    Executive Sous Chef

    Chef Stephanie Frick grew up in Southern California and was inspired to cook by her grandmother, Frances. She relocated to Atlanta in 2004. She graduated from the Art Institute of Atlanta in 2006. She began her culinary career in catering at the beloved Buckhead institution Eatzi’s. She then transitioned into hotel hospitality at the Hilton Atlanta Downtown in 2007. She worked her way through the hotel restaurants, and in 201,2, she became the Chef De Cuisine of the AAA 4-diamond restaurant, Nikolai’s Roof. In September of 2022, Chef Stephanie became the Executive Sous Chef of the Waldorf Astoria in Buckhead, assisting the hotel in achieving the coveted Forbes 4 Star hotel recognition. She took time away from hotels to work at Georgia Boy/ Southern Belle. She then returned to the Hilton Atlanta to resume her title of Chef de Cuisine of Nikolai’s Roof and elevate the menu with the knowledge she has gained throughout her culinary career. Chef Stephanie continues to evolve in her cooking styles and techniques. She utilizes local products and indulges in luxurious and exotic flavors.

    Andreas Georgakopoulos

    Executive Chef

    Chef Andreas Georgakopoulos, a Greek native, began his culinary journey at 18, inspired by his cheesemaker grandfather in Lesvos. He honed his skills traveling and cooking in Greece and Italy before serving four years as a Petty Officer in the Greek Navy.

    After graduating from the California School of Culinary Arts, he worked in top Los Angeles restaurants, including the Ritz-Carlton Huntington. Joining Hilton, he spent a decade opening fine dining venues across the U.S., from Portland to Washington, D.C. Since 2006, he has led kitchens at Hyatt Regency Atlanta Perimeter and the Woodruff Arts Center.

    Now, as Executive Chef at Hilton Atlanta, Chef Andreas brings his expertise to elevate the hotel’s culinary experience.

    Sue Shan

    Restaurant Manager

    Sue Shan, a Georgia native, immigrated from South Korea at the age of six. Growing up along the Georgia coastline, she developed a deep appreciation for Southern cuisine and the rich flavors of the Atlantic Ocean. In 1990, she moved to Atlanta and attended Emory University while working in cafés and restaurants, immersing herself in the service industry.

    Throughout her career, she has managed various businesses and even launched her own, mastering the art of blending culinary passion with business success to create exceptional guest experiences. Having opened and managed several restaurants in Atlanta, she continues to refine her expertise, innovate, and lead with a dedication to customer service.

    Sue joined the Hilton team in 2023, seeking a company that shares her passion for hospitality and industry leadership. From her first visit to Nikolai's Roof, she was captivated by its beauty, elegance, and 50-year love story with food. Now, as part of the team, she looks forward to contributing to its ongoing legacy.
